Happy New Year 2012!

Wishing you all a very happy, healthy, wealthy and
joy-filled 2012!
I had a bottle of Dom Perignon in my fridge for several years waiting to be opened in celebration of my getting my memoir, "Taking a Chance on Love," published .  I finally made it into an e-book for Amazon.com/kindle, Amazon print-on-demand and Barnesandnobel.com/nook.  Cathy Miller, Maureen Wheeler and I celebrated and I happily opened my old bottle of Dom, worried that it hadn't survived its years of living in the bottom of my fridge.  However, it was absolutely DELICIOUS!  Oh my!  I really felt like I had tasted the stars.

Cathy had been working on "Champion of Choice," a biography about Dr. Nafis Sedlk, for many long years and I was on deadline for the "7th edition of the Travel Writer's Handbook," so she threw down the gauntlet challenging me to achieve my deadline and Cathy tot complete  her book by August 31, 2011.  If we accomplished these goals she would bring another bottle of Dom over to my place so we could celebrate.  Needless to say, we did it and enjoyed every last drop of the luxurious Champagne.

2011 was a big year for both Cathy and I.  You might be wondering what we have up our sleeves for 2012.  Well, Cathy has taken a sabbatical from San Jose State University and is on her way to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, for 6 months,  to write another biography.  Stay tuned for details.  She is in the final editing stages on "Champion of Choice" but the publication date hasn't been set as yet.

Jacqueline is almost done with her romance story, "One Last Trip to Paris."   This book will be followed by another romance story, "Venetian Magic."  The Travel Writer's Handbook will be published on April 10th, so she will be twirling around promoting it.  In between she will be searching out new places and ideas for her FoodFlirtOnline.wordpress.com blog.
